Welcome back. I'm busy doing my homeschool planning for next year but I'll be here occasionally keeping you updated. You may find just what you came for and if you don't, then keep checking back!
Thank you for joining us this Tuesday for our first Homeschool History Buffs link up. If you would like to share a history project that you have done please link directly to your post from MckLinky below, and leave a link back to this post from your blog. Feel free to grab the button to help spread the word. The more the merrier! Some projects will end up on the Homeschool Gadget Toolbar chronologically under history projects.
Leonardo da Vinci project
We co-op with another family every Friday. One of our classes is history. There are two families that equal a class size of ten kids. That’s right! We both have five. We also both use Tapestry of Grace.
Since we were in the exact same week of Tapestry of Grace, we decided to focus on history projects together on Fridays and do our reading assignments, maps and discussions through the week at home.
Our first week that we met at my house we were focusing on the life and inventions of Leonardo Da Vinci. You may remember that I posted about some Leonardo Da Vinci projects a little while ago, when we did the webbed gloves.
Here are pictures of when we did the helical air screw project with the older children, that is on page 79. We also did the parachute project with the younger ones on page 88.
We used the book Amazing Leonardo Da Vinci Inventions You Can Build Yourself.
I found this book for FREE online here.

Great ideas! I am seriously thinking about homeschooling when our Little Man is older and it is SO helpful to see and learn from those who are already doing it. Thanks!!
